A direct report is an employee who directly reports to a manager. This means that the employee works under the direct supervision and guidance of the manager and is accountable to them for their work performance, tasks, and responsibilities, The manager is responsible for providing feedback, guidance, and support to the direct report, as well as evaluating their performance and making decisions regarding their work.
